Why Divers Return to Dive with Prodivers Maldives

31 Jan 2022

There are many reasons why people return to Prodivers for their scuba diving holidays – the choice of resorts, the friendly and sociable instructor team, incredble diving, and the huge variety of dive sites and activities, and there’s also our generous Repeater Discount Program ranging from 10% on your second visit to 100% on your 10th!*

If you’ve never been to the Maldives or dived with Prodivers you might be skeptical at the thought of visiting the same place more than once, the world is a big place after all and there are so many places to see, but once you’ve experienced the thrill of the seaplane flight, the boat trips across impossibly blue lagoons and the picture postcard islands we think you’ll find once is definitely not enough but don’t take our word for it – Gina and Laurie, our two most returning repeaters at Kuredu Resort Maldives have kindly shared their reasons for returning to dive with us time and time again.

I come back to dive with Prodivers because there are great dive sites and you always try to go to the places I love. At Prodivers you are not just a number. The dive instructors are very friendly and its always possible to have discussions about where to dive next.” – Gina 2400 dives and 43 times repeater.

Both Terri and I love the island because it is bigger than most Maldivian resort islands where there is space to walk around. When we first visited Kuredu, in 1993, it was the only resort in the Lhaviyani atoll, which meant that the only other divers on the site we were diving were from the same dive boat. I have never dived further east than the Maldives but I have dived Red Sea – Naama Bay, Seychelles – Mahe and Desroches, and the Caribbean – Barbados, Tobago, and Grenada and found the diving in the Maldives to be better than those other places. As we repeatedly visit Kuredu and I dive the same sites over and over again, I am able to learn the topography of each site and how the currents that wash the sites change how each can be dived.  This makes it easier for me to concentrate on my favourite activity of fish watching and how they interact. I am sure there are many dive sites elsewhere in the Maldives which match or exceed in awesomeness those nearby to Kuredu but I believe they are close to many resorts and so are often visited by more than one dive centre simultaneously, this happens very infrequently in Lhaviyani, which I prefer. When I dive I am often buddied with divers I have never met before and, as divers do, we discuss where each of us has dived before.  Many have said they have dived with dive centres from other resorts in the Maldives and I often hear the comment that Prodivers is better organised and provides a better service to its divers than most other dive centres. I have never had any issues with Prodivers service and they have always been able to deliver safe diving whatever the weather conditions.Laurie, 2200 dives and 48 times repeater.

Thank you Gina and Laurie for sharing your experiences with us, and for your loyalty and friendship over the years, see you soon!

The 10th visit offer of free diving applies also on to the price of the dive itself.
