The IDC Diaries – Day 8
04 May 2010
Day 8 of this IDC was another “dry day” in the classroom where the focus was on the PADI “General Standards & Procedures”. This was followed up with the third classroom presentation by the candidates. The attached photo shows Tania “in action”.
The afternoon was spent looking at “Adaptive Teaching” which contains three different “customer-groups” that the future instructors might encounter while working as diving instructors.
The module looked at discussing possible different approaches for teaching children, the elderly, or people with special challenges. This module is a crucial presentation as it opens the mind up and further develops the teaching techniques of the dive professionals.
Following on from the classroom session, the candidates continued with some further theory exam practice in preparation for the imminent 2 day long Instructor Examination (IE).
