New PADI Specialty Courses available on Kuredu!

13 Nov 2012

Not long ago, PADI launched the exciting new sidemount program and during the last IDC some of our Instructors grabbed the chance to give it a try and explore this type of diving for us.

Even though the new PADI Sidemount Diver course covers the use of a sidemount configuration for technical diving, it is getting more and more popular amongst recreational divers. For experienced divers who are keen on trying out something new, getting a taste of different ways of diving or are interested in technical diving, this course offers a great opportunity to discover this new attraction.

Besides the Sidemount course we can now also offer the PADI Self-Reliant Diver Specialty course where divers increase their knowledge and skills in dive planning, adaptive training and diving responsibly to compensate for situations that arise when diving alone.

Of course the buddy team system in the Maldives still applies and, on top of that, everybody knows that diving with a buddy is not only better for safety reasons but also much more enjoyable. It’s always more fun if you can share exciting adventures or great encounters with others!

Nevertheless, we believe that those who prefer diving in a buddy system will still profit from this course as it will give much more confidence about your own skills such as being comfortable with self-rescue skills and being prepared to react independently in an emergency.

Curious? Come and visit us on Kuredu and give sidemount diving a try or get trained in the skills, knowledge and safety techniques of diving in a self-reliant manner!
