Snorkelling at Komandoo Maldives
04 Oct 2020If you will be visiting Komandoo Maldives for your holiday, make sure you venture out with our team at Prodivers to experience the wonders that lie just below the surface of the Indian Ocean. The scuba diving is fantastic but, if you don’t dive and don’t want to learn, you can still immerse yourself amongst the abundant marine life that the Maldives is so well-known for by going snorkelling. No experience necessary, our friendly and patient team will show you the ropes and take you to the reefs for adventures that will be remembered for years to come. This is your chance to come face to face with inquisitive turtles, be mesmerised by graceful rays and surrounded by fish of every colour and pattern imaginable.
- Total beginners can join the Snorkel Intro where our instructors will explain how to use the equipment and help you practise in the shallow lagoon, held twice per week.
- Once you’re familiar with the equipment, join the team for a Guided Housereef Tour, scheduled twice per week, it is the perfect opportunity to venture out into deeper water with the assurance of being with someone who knows the reef like the back of their hand. You’ll see a huge amount of fish during your 30 minute session.
- For a little more adventure go on the Half Day Snorkelling Trips by boat, they include weekly Turtle Tours, Reef & Wreck Tours and Manta Search Tours. These are amazing adventures with lots to see, they showcase the Maldives underwater world perfectly.
- For the ultimate adventure, if you’re totally comfortable with snorkelling by daylight, why not give Night Snorkelling a try? Join the guide for a 45 minute torchlight tour of the housereef where you’ll see totally different creatures to those seen during the day.

Our 5 time residents, Ian and Sarah, celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary with us recently and enjoyed snorkelling at Zafari and Aquarium reefs, even the dolphins joined for a special display during the boat trip!
