Recent welcomes, farewells and congratulations on Kuredu
10 May 2017The last few weeks have been busy ones here on Kuredu: there have been cheery welcomes, fond farewells and celebratory congratulations.
We welcomed four new members to our team: Ibrahim, George, Isin and Ozgur. Ibrahim, a.k.a. Panda, from right here in the Maldives and George from Austria have joined the dive instructors. If you’ve dived with Prodivers on Lily Beach before you may already know George, he worked there for several months. They are both eager to dive with you and share their love of the ocean. Isin and Ozgur are our new doctor couple from Turkey; they are already familiar with Kuredu as they have helped out several times in the last few years. Being passionate divers, they are very well placed to advise on any dive-related concerns you may have.
When there are arrivals to the team, sadly, there are also departures and after 10 months of teaching diving in paradise, our instructor couple from Germany, Caro and Rene, have decided to return to Hamburg. Their happy spirits will be missed and we wish them good luck on their future endeavours.
As well as staff arrivals and departures, there was a buzz around the dive center created by the latest PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). We’d like to congratulate our four IDC candidates on successfully completing the course. After 2 weeks of long, dedicated hours spent in the classroom, in the water, and feeling as if their brains had turned to jelly, they will now all return to the resorts they work at as newly qualified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors. A big thank you to PADI Course Director Miha Frlec for once again joining us for the IDC and helping our candidates achieve their dream.
Thinking of becoming a dive instructor yourself? Kuredu Prodivers is hosting another IDC later this year.
