The IDC Diaries – Day 7
03 May 2010
After the successful completion of the PADI Assistant Instructor Course, day 7 began with the OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor) section of the IDC.
After three nice days in the lagoon, the day was spent back in the classroom again getting an “Overview of the dive industry” and its future trends.
The candidates also studied the standards of the PADI Scuba Diver & Open Water Diver Courses, and were introduced to “perscriptive teaching” – a fundamental part of the PADI system. The first results of it will be seen tomorrow morning.
The afternoon was used to polish off the candidates understanding of diving theory, dive equipment and physics…
Mares very kindly sponsored the girls on the IDC, providing ‘She dives’ caps for the candidates. Although Siegi missed out on a cap being the only man on the IDC, we don’t think he is too disappointed being surrounded by the ladies 🙂
