Master Scuba Diver certification for Hurawalhi Repeater Guest
30 Jan 2018Hurawalhi celebrated its first birthday last month and also welcomed back two divers who were amongst the first to dive at the newly opened resort just over a year ago.
On their last visit Thomas and Andrea, from Switzerland, were persuaded by the team at Prodivers to try out scooter diving which they loved – with the huge amounts of sharks and rays in the channels as well as the tuna, turtles napoleons and barracuda, who wouldn’t? This adrenalin seeking duo were hooked and went on to complete the PADI DPV (scooter) Specialty which was just one more dive on top of the introduction they has already completed. Thomas already had the Nitrox, Deep and Dry Suit Specialties (he didn’t bring his dry suit to the Maldives though!).
Fast forward one year and Thomas and Andrea are now repeaters enjoying 10% repeater discount on their diving and the Prodivers Hurawalhi team are looking forward to diving with them all the way to the 10th visit where they will enjoy diving for free!
Thomas has been working towards getting his Master Scuba Diver Certification – the highest non-professional diving qualification a recreational diver can receive. To earn this qualification divers must have completed Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, plus 5 different specialties and a minimum of 50 logged dives – no problem for Thomas – he has almost 200 dives!
During his latest visit Thomas completed his fifth specialty course, Drift Diver, at the famous site everyone loves so much – Kuredu Express. This meant that Prodivers Hurawalhi could certify Thomas as a Master Scuba Diver and very proud they were too – it was Hurawalhi’s first Master Scuba Diver certification!
“Seventeen amazing dives in an outstanding underwater world, I enjoyed every minute. Thank you to Prodivers for awarding me the Master Scuba Diver certification with my last specialty. Hope to see you again soon on Hurawalhi”
– Tom
