As we hand over the management of Kuredu Prodivers Dive Center to Tina, we hand this blog over to her too, she is, after all, the person who knows her best!

“Known as Tina, my actual name is Kristina Bogdanova. I was born in Tajikistan in 1989 and moved to Germany in 1993 with my parents. Although raised and educated in Germany I still speak russian even if not perfect. Lucky me. 

“I studied biochemistry in Tuebingen and graduated in 2009. During my studies I worked in hospitality for 7 years which gave me my excellent communication skills. It was during my studies that I started exploring the underwater world in Egypt. Travelling and diving made me happy as I loved the contact with different people and cultures, and of course the ocean.

“After I finished my studies, I went to Thailand and completed my Divemaster training, and then on to Australia where I did an internship on a liveaboard. I also became an instructor during this time. The work in Australia gave me a lot of experience with big boats, involving working as crew, being a dive and snorkel guide, practicing my briefings and guiding.

“My next chapter brought me back to Thailand, Khao Lak for my first full time job as an Instructor and here I met my collegue and partner Fabi. After the end of the season in Khao Lak, Fabi and I went looking for new opportunities together. Life took us to Greece for the summer season 2018.  After that we did a season in Zanzibar and then on to Egypt where I met Carola’s brother Norbert on one of my trips on the liveaboard. He introduced me to his sister Carola and Prodivers! Fabi and I started working on Kuredu in December 2019. After a Covid related break in 2020 we are still here, enjoying the underwater world, taking on new challenges and being grateful for meeting lots of great people.

“Becoming the new base leader was the next step after over 5 years in the industry, and I am looking forward to taking on the work together with our team. Of course I will do my best to continue the success story of Prodivers that has been running for 33 years and counting.

“I am an eager character, full of energy and ideas; I like to work with people and treat others the same way I want to be treated myself.

“While diving I love everything small, especially searching for ghostpipe fish!

“I look forward to helping to make your diving and snorkelling adventures incredible!”
