The last few weeks have been magical – the reefs and cleaning stations around Lily Beach have been crowded with magnificent manta rays and many unforgettable hours have been spent scuba diving with them.

Situated on the East side of the South Ari Atoll, Maldives, Lily Beach enjoys an enviable location just a 10-minute boat trip away from the ‘Summer’ month manta hotspots. Diving with manta rays is a dream of many and those lucky enough to have realised that dream will remember what it is like to share the ocean with such graceful creatures. They glide effortlessly through the water, no matter what the current is doing, they roll and swoop and sometimes appear to be taking part in an intricately choreographed dance routine that is mesmerising to watch.
