A holiday in the Maldives isn’t complete without experiencing the coral reefs of the Indian Ocean and the easiest way to do that is by snorkelling. At Kuredu Resort Maldives, the dedicated Snorkel Section of the Dive Center has activities to suit all experience levels – even those who have never even put a mask and fins on before!

For absolute beginners – Discover Snorkelling – Go on a tour of the dive and snorkel center, get an explanation of activities and trips available as well as information about where to snorkel around the island and what you can see. Meet the marine biologist at the marine center, see the equipment room and find out about the sanitising procedures. Then off you go with your guide to the lagoon for a 30 minute introduction to snorkelling with all equipment included for the duration of the activity.

To build confidence – Guided House Reef Tour – Explore the house reef with one of our snorkel guides, they will show you the ship wreck and all the other great spots to see the amazing marine life. This tour lasts 45/50 minutes and is a great way for beginners to gain confidence before heading out without a guide, or further afield on the boats.

One-to-one support – Private Beginners Lesson – 1.5 hours in the safe hands of one of our snorkel guides where you will do the Discover Snorkelling, and after becoming familiar with the equipment we take you on a snorkel through the lagoon to the house reef at your own pace to see the best spots.

Ready for more – Half Day Trips – Join our guides on the boat and spend half a day on the ocean, stopping off for snorkelling at different reefs. The recommended tours for first time boat snorkellers are ‘Komandoo‘ and ‘Reef Safari‘ with the manta and caves trips great options to look forward to once you’re comfortable in the water.
