Kuredu Express Returns To Glory
01 Jun 2010
For the past few weeks, the famous Kuredu Express has been pumping out some incredible shark action and fantastic dives.
Regular sightings of Eagle Rays, Stingrays, Turtles, schooling Jack Fish, Barracudas, schooling Snappers, Sweetlips and a resident Leaf Fish have made Kuredu Express a top dive site for the past 20 years.
But the real attraction on Kuredu Express is the extremely curious Grey Reef Shark population.
It seems that news of the recent government ban on all shark fishing and exporting of shark related products as of 1st April this year, has reached the sharks, who have returned to Express en-force. We have had countless dives over the past number of weeks where there have not only been sightings of sharks, but the sightings have been extremely close indeed!
Dive after dive, our guests have been having encounters with up to 10 Grey Reef Sharks, with some letting their curiosity get the better of them as they came to within a couple of meters of the divers. These shark encounters have typically lasted for 25 – 30 minutes before the divers have headed off to enjoy the other treats that Kuredu Express has to offer.
