Marta has been a traveler and scuba diver since her teens, originally from Spain but lucky to have worked in different countries like Mexico, Honduras, Thailand, the Philippines and now the Maldives! After years as a teacher and social worker, she found her perfect fit combining teaching and diving. She loves sharing her passion for the ocean. Oh, and nudibranchs? Absolute underwater superstars in her book!.

After a long trip in Latin America where he got into the diving world, he came back to Europe and realised that he wanted more. After completing his instructor course, he worked in the Philippines with the beautiful thresher shark which is his favourite creature underwater.

Prior to joining the Prodivers team, Thasleem worked as Front Office Receptionist & Front Office Coordinator at Kuredu. Now he gets to combine his love of working with guests and being underwater! Thasleem finds the camouflaged marine creatures most fascinating, with his favorites being stonefish and scorpionfish.

Chris started scuba diving with 11 years in Curacao. Today he is a global citizen with a broad diving resume; with experience in cold Sweden, Indonesia, Kenya and the Maldives. He is happy to be back on Kuredu joining the team after a year away. The Whaleshark is his favourite marine species. Chris looks forward to welcome and guide you soon // Hakuna Matata.

Lisa did her OWD whilst traveling in South-East Asia and lost her heart to the ocean on Koh Tao. She did not want to go back to a 9 to 5 life and completed her DM in Sri Lanka and her instructor course in Greece. Like always in life – its been an up and down but she followed her motto: “go with the waves” and is still enjoying every moment in and close to the sea. The leopardshark is her favorite animal down there.

Kostas was 13 years old when he went diving for the first time. He was so fascinated that many years later he made it his profession to inspire more people about our oceans. Tresher sharks are his favourites..

Matthias is a bi-national diving instructor born in Germany, raised in France who used to work in Indonesia for 2.5 years before joining us in the Maldives. His favorite sea creature is the Manta ray but recently the Ornate Eagle Ray challenged that spot.

Laura discovered scuba diving when she was 14 years old and quickly turned her passion for the underwater world into a career. She became a PADI instructor in 2016 and joined Prodivers in the Maldives in 2017. Since then, she has spent several years diving and working with the Prodivers team, including many years at Lily Beach. When she is not underwater, Laura enjoys drawing and painting the wildlife she encounters on her travels. Her favourite thing about diving? You never quite know what you might find around the next corner.

Max began diving at age 15 in the cold waters of Russia with his father. After years of office work, he traded his career for a life of teaching on both ski slopes and underwater. He mastered his craft over three years in Thailand. His favourite animal is the whale shark, and he has now come to the Maldives to share his experience and the islands' vibrant marine life with you.

Nick started diving at a young age in the cold lakes of Germany, together with his father. When he got older, he went to New Zealand and the Cook Islands for about 16 months, which opened his eyes about what he really wanted. So, he turned his passion into a career. Nick likes to teach and share his passion about the ocean. His favourite fish is the Oceanic Whitetip Shark.

After a backpacking trip through Asia, Hampus quickly realised that the world — and especially the ocean — was far too beautiful not to keep exploring. Choosing a career in diving soon became an easy decision. Since then, he’s spent the last three years living abroad and chasing adventures wherever they take him. Underwater, Hampus is happiest when spotting sharks of any kind or discovering a nudibranch species he’s never seen before.

Aneesa began her diving journey in a city swimming pool, inspired by a life-changing snorkel experience in Mexico in 2016 that sparked a lifelong passion for creating access to, and connecting people with, the ocean. With over 13 years in marketing and a background in global hospitality, she blends social-first storytelling, digital strategy, and guest connection above and below the surface. An ex-professional Divemaster, Aneesa has worked across the UK, Indonesia, and Australia, and is happiest combining her love of diving with creativity in roles like this one. Indecisive by nature, she’s just as fascinated by sharks as she is by nudibranchs, finding beauty in all forms of marine life. Passionate about wildlife, culture, and meaningful experiences, she believes the ocean is deeply healing and connects us all.

Ellen is a Dive Master and worked in Thailand before. She loves sharks and cuttlefish. In the future she wants to be a dive instructor.

Ali is a passionate Snorkel Guide with a deep love for the ocean and its diverse marine life. With experience in Guest services and a strong background in hospitality, he ensures that every snorkelling trip is both exciting and educational. His interests include free diving, underwater photography, and exploring breathtaking coral reefs and marine landscapes. Ali enjoys sharing his knowledge about fish species corals and underwater ecosystems, helping guests appreciate the wonders beneath the surface. Biswa is an IT professional who was always drawn to beaches. So when an opportunity came to live near the ocean, he knew it was his calling. He is keen to explore life underwater here.

Andréa worked as a surf instructor in several places around the world in her younger years, and the ocean has always felt like a natural place to be. She later spent many years in marketing management and now works with breeding horses back home on her farm in Sweden, though that is currently on pause while she enjoys island life. She first arrived to Kuredu as a guest and did her very first dives here with Prodivers, which opened the door to a new passion for the underwater world. Sharks, manta rays, and the adorable boxfish are her favourite marine animals to spot, as they always seem to bring a smile. “The ocean doesn’t care who you are -show respect, and it will show you magic.”

Devi studied English Literature before starting scuba diving in 2011. She has worked in the diving industry and been falling in love with the sea and marine life in Indonesia ever since, until joining us in the Maldives.

After finishing school in Norway, Sanne moved straight to Gold Coast, Australia to study for her bachelor degree in International Relations. Here, she discovered her love for the ocean and the passion for different cultures and countries. Later on she backpacked her way through Asia and got her Open Water in Koh Tao. Sanne’s favourite ocean creature is the turtle. Her motto is tutto passa.”

Born and raised in India, Saomit studied medicine at a public university. He is an ACLS certified medic with a passion for sports, music, and painting. His favorite thing underwater is watching schools of fusiliers.

Ozzy is a medical doctor and diving physician with work experience in Turkey, New Zealand, and the Maldives. He has spent many years chasing whale sharks. 'Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.' – Frank Zappa.

Dr. Ebru Gonen has about 20 years of experience as a GP, more than 5 years of which has been in the Maldives. After graduating from medical school, she gained education and experience in Emergency Care, Occupational Health, Diving Medicine and is currently studying Functional Medicine. Sharks and whale sharks are her favorite creatures in the ocean.

Iboo started to work as a room attendant. He has been working for Prodivers since 2024. Iboo likes to play football and plays for Kuredu FC.

Hussain worked as a room boy for two years for Kuredu Resort Maldives before starting work at Prodivers in March 2008.

Ihsaan started working for Prodivers in December 2014.

Ahmed has speedboat and dhoni experience as well as working with compressors.

Malek has been working for Prodivers since 1997. He’s a very friendly member of Prodivers support staff and will do anything to help our divers have convenient boat and house reef diving.

Babul has been working for Prodivers since 1997. He’s very helpful, caring and can’t wait till the evening to be able to chat to his family.
