Everyone can be a photographer on Kuredu

08 Jul 2017

The waters around Kuredu Resort & Spa, Maldives are the perfect place to take stunning photos. Whether diving or snorkelling, there will be awesome things to capture on camera.

Camera equipment, along with underwater housings, can be very expensive and this is often a hurdle for budding photographers. There are no such hurdles for guests at Kuredu – the Prodivers dive center is well-equipped with a choice of cameras to rent: Canon or GoPro, both equally suitable for snorkelling or diving.

Canon

Best for closer, more detailed pictures. The zoom function brings the marine life a little closer than it actually is, allowing images to be taken without scaring the subject matter away. Filming is also possible for those who want to capture absolutely everything around them.

GoPro

Best for wide angle shots. The wide-angle lens allows the photographer to capture a lot of subject in one go. There is no zoom facility so getting closer is a necessity for detailed shots. The film mode is an excellent way to realy capture the surroundings.

Both cameras are capable of taking breath-taking shots, preserving the Kuredu memories long after the plane touches down on home soil. Pictures are saved onto a CD to take home, included in the camera rental; USB sticks are available as an alternative at additional cost.

Learning to take even better pictures

Snorkellers can join the photo fun too

Snorkellers are welcome to rent the cameras to snap their own shots but they can also join the Turtle Tour.
