Prodivers Komandoo had a special treat instore for their divers and snorkellers spending Christmas in the Maldives, as, thanks to prior arrangement with Santa, an underwater treasure hunt was held on the 25^th of December for all of their guests. Special gift tags could be found all along Komandoo’s house reef, which guests could find and exchange for a special Christmas gift at Prodivers’ base on the island.

Our team, Steffi, Marek, David and Sally, were joined by 14 divers and 6 snorkellers, who all took on Santa’s challenge to find the hidden tags along the reef, and making the most of their Christmas morning, enjoying the beautiful clear waters of the Maldives.

Of course, the real gift on the day was the amazing marine life enjoyed by everyone. Komandoo’s house reef is always being a hub of aquatic activity, and both the divers and snorkellers were able to enjoy some great sightings during the treasure hunt. With turtles, sharks and eagle rays all being spotted along with the plethora of amazing reef fish that make their home amongst the corals.
