The January Club: Komandoo’s Ever-Returning Divers

16 Jan 2017

Thanks to the abundance of marine life at nearby dive sites, Komandoo’s small island allure, and the dive team’s documented awesomeness, a group of divers keeps returning to the resort at the dawn of the year to escape the hassle of spending the whole winter in Europe.

Meet Alan & Samantha (5-time repeaters in just 2 years!), Paula & Julien (10-time repeaters), Jonathan (7 times at Komandoo), Joanne & Dean (5-time visitors), and Dominic & Christine (now for the second time at Komandoo).

Not only do these guests have a good taste when it comes to picking a holiday destination, they also know that two dives a day keep the doctor away – during each visit, we do a 2-tank dive trip every day, going to all the best dive sites in Lhaviyani and Noon Atolls. Since they are all fans of sharks, but also love the more scenic sites, their diving days see a combination of channels and corners for big fish action, and outreefs and thilas for small-to-medium marine life.

Alan, Sam and Jonathan have taken on another hobby within a hobby – scooter diving. Ever since we introduced them to the joys of riding underwater scooters, this has become a staple and something they never get enough of.

Our plan for the group’s future diving adventures:

1. Talk Dean, Joanne, Julien and Paula into giving scooters another try
2. Solve the mystery about why Dean always wants to dive right shoulder
3. Keep a close eye on Alan’s whereabouts underwater
4. Try to find another hammerhead shark with John and take good footage of it

On behalf of everyone at Komandoo Prodivers, thank you for visiting and please come again!
