The IDC Diaries – Day 4
01 May 2010
After preparing their classroom based presentations, Day 4 of the Instructor Development Course started bright and early with the candidates taking the floor and delivering the first of their presentations.
The candidates are marked according to a scale of 1 – 5, with 5 being the best possible score. Ute, Miha and Nico had obviously done a good job during the preparation stages as none of the candidates scored lower than a 4.
This was followed up with a session looking at how to structure a confined water briefing, how to position students while teaching underwater and how to teach the skills that the student need to master before they can be signed off on their course.
The whole afternoon was spent in the beautiful Maldives sunshine in the 31 degree lagoon, perfecting their skill demonstration.
