Polina was born and brought up in landlocked Siberia in Russia and while growing up among the snow she could hardly ever imagine that the ocean would become her playground one day. While travelling through Asia she tried diving for the first time and was so fascinated with the underwater world that in few years time diving became her full-time occupation. She worked and volunteered in different countries: Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and Fiji – each place has something unique about it and she has very fond memories of diving in each of the places. Polina truly enjoys her job, she loves sharing her passion for the ocean with her students.
