About

Ishmael's Thila is a recent discovery, and was named after the Kuredu boat captain that found the site. The small dive site is packed full of fish and offers numerous subjects for photography and film. A small thila, surrounded by overhangs and terraces, Ishmael's Thila is a great place for finding smaller things on the reef. Mantis shrimp can be found hiding in the nooks and crannies, while the elusive frog fish has also been spotted here. Keep a close eye out for scorpion fish lurking on the top reef, and enjoy the clouds of glass fish dancing in formation as the trevallies hunt through the schools.
