Meet the IDC candidates on Kuredu

22 Sep 2017

Prodivers Kuredu is a hive of activity as the latest candidates to embark upon training for a qualification leading to, arguably, the best job in the world – the latest PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is in full swing.

Course Director Miha is putting two eager candidates through their paces with sessions in the classroom, skills training in the lagoon and out on the boats. They can even be spotted, occasionally of course, in the bar.

Meet the candidates:

Marc from Windhoek, Namibia started diving in 2008 here in the Maldives. Marc’s favourite dive memory is diving through a kelp forest in the cold waters of Cape Town. His reason for doing the IDC is the job opportunities it will create in the Maldives.

Svenja from Hengen, Germany began diving in 2011 in the Croatian town of Krk. Her favourite dive memory is seeing her first sharks, Thresher and Oceanic White Tips, on a dive safari in Egypt. Svenja is completing the IDC so that she can do what she loves and work as a dive instructor.

It’s always great to see the very first steps in a new dive instructor’s career and everyone at Prodivers wishes Marc and Svenja luck with the upcoming Instructor Examination.
