Goodbye, Darren!
03 Aug 2015
After almost 10 years of working for Prodivers Maldives, Darren has decided it was time to move on and see what the world off the island has in store.
Darren, who was up until last week the base leader of our dive center at Kuredu, first joined Prodivers in 2003 as a diving instructor on Komandoo and after a break became a videographer on Kuredu. He took the management position on Kuredu in 2010.
During his time here, many of you will have gotten to know him, and in the more recent years been able to see the changes he has driven through within the company. The last 10 years have been a mix of highs and lows for him with key milestones, such as Kuredu’s 25th anniversary, the Atoll Challenge, the 2004 tsunami, 2008 bleaching events and the expansion of the company onto Lily Beach, and beyond.
The job hasn’t always been easy for him, but we hope he enjoyed it, and that you have all enjoyed the fantastic marine life that he was able to show you either through his guided dives, incredible movies or as a result of the staff that he brought into the team and trained into the professional, quality guides who you all know and love.
Darren, we wish you all the best and we know we will see you again soon!
