The giant frogfish is back at Rheeti Thila!

Being a small reef, split into smaller pieces by up to three meter wide canyons, Rheeti Thila is one of the most interesting dive sites in the South Ari Atoll and a regular destination of Vakarufalhi dive boats.
Besides beautiful fan and whip corals, different kind of anemones, fusiliers being hunted by jack fish, big barracudas, scorpion fish, nudibranches, schools of oriental sweetlips and white tip reef sharks that make for an action packed dive, Rheeti Thila can always throw in a surprise or two!
Antonio found a giant red frogfish a few months ago and after a few lucky divers had the chance to see this weird and wonderful creature, it disappeared. Good news: the chubby little monster is back! Apart from the giant frogfish, the recent dive threw in two ghost pipefish, a white leaf fish, grey reef sharks, a big barracuda, a napoleon and lots of small critters, again showcasing some of Vakarufalhi’s diving highlights in just one dive.
