Family Diving Fun at Lily Beach
15 May 2018April saw a lot of familiar faces returning to Lily Beach Resort & SPA for their Maldives scuba diving holiday, many of them families, choosing to come back for more fun in South Ari Atoll.
The team at Prodivers Lily Beach are very used to making families with children feel totally at home and catering for their needs. Perfectly placed amongst some of the Maldives’ top dive sites, there is no shortage of places to go and things to see! The special family boats offer an incredible opportunity for parents and children to each enjoy the ocean together – the parents can dive whilst the little ones enjoy snorkelling above them, delighted by catching the bubbles! All experience levels are catered for too, the guests who returned to dive with Lily Beach recently had certification levels ranging from new Open Water Divers right up to Instructor level and all enjoyed the diving very much. There were boats to suit all requirements and wishes, early birds enjoyed the Sunrise Boat – great for getting back in time to enjoy the rest of the day, the ‘not so early birds’ could opt for the Late Start Boat, Easy Afternoon Boat or Sunset Boat, those who wanted to squeeze in a later dive joined night dive boats. 2 Tank dive boats were a real hit and the legendary Manta & Whaleshark Full-Day trip was a highlight for many. The younger guests, who were just 8 and 9 years old and not yet old enough to complete a diving certification course, got to join in the fun with the PADI Bubblemaker and PADI Seal Team activities for all sorts of underwater missions and adventures.
Most of the returning divers knew each other from previous visits so it felt like home around the dive center and on the boats, especially on the family boat trips. Some of the divers took fun to the next level and extensively tested the underwater scooters on the house reef as well as joining several boat trips to cruise along the reefs. It seemed as if even the marine life also wanted to get in on the ‘repeater action’ – just as happened at the same time last year, up to fourteen eagle rays were spotted daily in front of the dive center and on the house reef.
South Ari and Lily Beach have once again shown that it is worth coming back and spending the diving holiday here amongst friends and family.
‘Thank you very much for diving with us, for all the memorable moments and we are looking forward seeing you again next year’.
