Why Take the Emergency First Response Course?
10 Jan 2016
It’s crucial to know how to respond to emergencies – just in case. Sometimes minutes count, so it’s important to know how to make a difference. Because emergencies can happen anywhere, anytime, including at your home, at work, at school, on holiday, everyone should have the basic knowledge about how to help others.
Enter the Emergency First Response (EFR) Course! The course teaches you the key primary care and first aid skills that are imporant to everyone, not just divers. Our instructors can guide you through the key EFR skills, so you will know how to apply the patient care techniques and principles, used by medical professionals, at a lay person level.
What will you learn?
During the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) you will learn how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. You will find out how to use barriers, perform CPR, manage serious bleeding, shock, spinal injuries and learn other vital skills.
In the Secondary Care part of the course, we will teach you everything you need to know about first aid treatment of the most common emergencies, such as burns, choking, temperature related injuries, bites etc.
The small amount of time that you invest into the EFR Course can mean a lifetime of advantages.
At Prodivers, we of course do it in a pleasant, non-stressful atmosphere, with optimal learning conditions… Just ask the Ocean Watersport team! All seven are now trained or refreshed Emergency First Responders. Fingers crossed you won’t need their help while at Kuredu, but better safe than sorry, right?
