Dive update: Vakarufalhi

07 May 2013

Despite some poor weather Vakarufalhi have had a good week of diving.  They managed to get out a repeaters full day boat – with all divers on board on at least their second visit to the island. During this day they were lucky enough to see mantas, eagle rays, sharks and turtles under water, as well as to come across a large number of lobsters sheltering in the over hangs on of the sites. However the highlight was encountering a whale shark for 10 minutes on the second dive of the day and then a further 5 whale sharks between dives 2 and 3, allowing for some great snorkeling action.

The day was ended with a nice relaxing wall dive, where the abundant soft corals added some great colour to large numbers of fish around.
