Dive Update: Komandoo and Vakarufalhi

09 Oct 2012

It’s been another great week in the Maldives, clear skies and flat seas has allowed for some fantastic diving.  Vakarufalhi have been going out doing some great dives taken in the amazing coral life on offer in the South Ari Atoll, with some great dives on Mamingili Beru a popular whale shark location. Dives on the house reef were also good with resting sharks, and zebra morays amongst the highlights.

Komandoo have had a rather special week, the large numbers of Manta Rays hanging around Fhisvaru have lead to some great dives in the channel and on the Thila. A dive on Madivaru Thila lead to the discovery of a new frog fish. During a dive on caves 7 leaf fish were found, along with a bump head parrot fish, and a trip up to noon provided Komandoo with a rare chance to experience Orimas. Even dives on the house reef are providing some great sightings with morays fighting. Oh and guests were also able to snorkel with dolphins…twice.
