My name is Reimund van Eeden and I am a keen underwater photographer.
I was born in South Africa where I have also started my diving career. It is here
where I joined the professional side of diving and was involved in the diving industry
for numerous years. I have been taking underwater photos for some years and have
a great passion for the underwater world. What better way to express the love and
share the beauty of the ocean with everybody, than with my photos!
All the photos in the photo gallery were taken on dive sites around Kuredu ProDivers.
The equipment I use has changed over the years, and as I developed my skills I have
adapted the equipment to suit my needs. Of course as you progress up the learning
curve and starts to experiment with may different techniques underwater, the equipment
has to change to suit the application.
I started out with the well renowned Nikonos system and at present I am using two
different cameras, a Nikon F 90 and a Nikon F 100. They are both in Sealux housings
with an array of ports for the different lenses.
The lenses that I use are: Nikkor 16mm, Nikkor 20mm, Nikkor 28mm, Nikkor 35mm, Nikkor
60mm Macro and Nikkor 105mm Makro. I have different adapter lenses and converters
that I use with these lenses for special effects. I use the Subtronic Gamma plus
and the Subtronic Mega colour strobes with SeaCam adjustable flash arms.
I hope that you enjoy the pictures that I have chosen to share with you, please
