16. KUDADU KANDU
Kudadu Kandu lies between two outer reefs, and is a sandy channel where the currents flow in and out of the Lhaviyani atoll. With a small ingoing current it is possible to cross along the channel edge from one side to the other, the aim of which is to see the large schools of rainbow runners, jack fish and tuna that pass along the channel. Keep an eye on the sandy bottom for stingrays lying in the sand. Eagle rays and the occasional shark can be seen hanging in the current.
