17. KAHLIFUSHIFARU CORNER
Kahlifushifaru Corner (KFFC) gently slopes away as the outreef meets the channel bringing water in and out of the Lhaviyani Atoll. The corner offers some small terraces and overhangs where you can find painted rock lobsters hiding inside. Stingrays feed in the sandy areas and moray eels make homes under the small coral blocks. The steep outreef is also very interesting with lots of overhangs to explore. A family of big napoleon wrasse are resident on KFFC, and long nose hawk fish sit in the bush corals.
If there is an ingoing current, it is possible to venture out into the channel, with the chance of seeing some bigger fish. Grey reef sharks are often seen patrolling the waters, along with squadrons of eagle rays. When the current is strong, there is also the chance of seeing Silvertip Sharks that come in to clean on the channel edge.
