Prodivers Kuredu Staff Team

Our team on Kuredu has been again complemented with new staff! Anna and Michael from Sweden joined us a couple of weeks ago to provide support to the snorkel and instructor team respectively.

In her new job as a snorkel guide, Anna has already had some great manta sightings and will surely be blown away by other wonders of the Indian Ocean that are yet to be discovered on her snorkel trips and in her (more…)

Yaafis Kuredu Maldives

A few weeks ago, Yaafis threw a big party… On the 30th September, nearly 200 family members and friends got together to celebrate Yaafis’ marriage with his girlfriend Rif’aa!

Marriage in the Maldives requires written approval from the government, which needs to be obtained in advance.

After getting the approval they started to organize their wedding party, which took place in Male. Nearly 200 people came for the dinner (more…)

Muin Yaafis Full Face Mask

Our two maldivian Instructors Muin and Yaafis were also very curious about the new toy, the Ocean Reef Full Face Mask.

Yesterday they took the chance to go out for a test dive at our house reef with the Full Face Mask. After some skills they had to do for safety reasons, they started their dive and of course, had to test the under water communication system as well… Miha struggled a bit to follow their conversation in Divehi, so he rather (more…)

Steffi

The time has come that sadly we have to say goodbye to our nurse Steffi… After nearly 2 years of being a very valuable member of our Clinic and Decompression Chamber team on Kuredu, Steffi is heading back home to Switzerland.

After a well earned break Steffi will continue working at her former hospital; and her local dive centre is also looking forward to her coming back and joining them to teach (more…)

Sadly, a couple of days ago, Sofia left our Snorkel Team and headed back home to Sweden. After being with us for almost a year, she has  decided to move on and look for greener pastures.

The initial plan is to take a much needed break, and to do some traveling.

Sofia will be remembered for her enthusiasm for the underwater world, and for her love of (more…)

Andy started his career at Prodivers Kuredu as a scuba diving instructor at the beginning of 2006, and was a valuable member of our team for almost 4 years.

Andy is a dedicated CCR Diver (Closed Circuit Rebreather) and was always happy to grab the opportunity to dive with the ‘unit’, as well as answering any question about the this silent world of diving.

Andy has left the team and headed off to Macau, where he will join forces with Liam, (more…)

Yaafis flag web

Following on from his whistle-stop of Europe last year, Yaafis took to the road once more summer to see and experience something new.

Clearly the taste of the Alps fueled a desire to climb for Yaafis, as he has just returned from nearly 3 weeks in Nepal’s beautiful Sagarmatha National Park.

At over 3,000 meters above sea level, Sagaramatha is the highest National Park in the world, containing (more…)

Barbara, Seba

A couple of weeks ago Sebastjan and Barbara, both from Slovenia, joined our team on Kuredu.

Sebastjan completes our Instructor Team and brings not only a lot of experience with him, but also a lot of enthusiam! Having only worked in cold waters back in Europe, he is over the moon to have the chance to teach and guide in the warm tropical waters of the Indian Ocean.

Barbara is supporting our Office Team and (more…)
