The Republic of Maldives consists of around 1200 islands, divided into 26 Atoll, spread over an area of less than 300 000 square kilometers, with just 1% land and 99%  water.

So it’s not really surprising that the most important means of  transport in Maldives are ships and boats and where man and machine meet, there has to be a few incidents along the way… accidentally or  on purpose! However, where humans fail – nature creates! (more…)
