During day 6 of the PADI IDC, candidates had the chance to present another topic as an academic presentation in the classroom to improve their teaching techniques.
We also discussed three PADI specialty courses that are closely connected with PADIs A.W.A.R.E. campaign and how as future instructors can make their students aware of responsible interaction with the underwater world.

Day 5 started today with the instructors learning more about the PADI ‘Discover Scuba Diving’ program as well as the PADI options open for snorkelers.
Today also included some time for the candidates to get used to finding information on teaching Standards and Procedures in the PADI Instructor Manual, helping to prepare them for future jobs that they might secure in diving.

After preparing their classroom based presentations, Day 4 of the Instructor Development Course started bright and early with the candidates taking the floor and delivering the first of their presentations.

Now it’s time to start getting serious! The IDC jumped into action today with the preparation days behind them.
One of the major parts of the PADI IDC is that the candidates not only demonstrate that they have a solid understanding of the theory associated with diving, but they also learn how to teach using the PADI methods and systems.

The IDC is not only a stressful week for the instructor candidates! The PADI Instructor Development Course also gives existing instructors the chance to further their qualifications with the opportunity to gain additional qualifications.
