As last year’s program during “European Shark Week” was such a great success we have already had a couple of requests for the upcoming season; therefore we will again be offering our special “Shark & Ray Week” together with our PADI Specialty Course “Maldivian Shark & Ray Diver”.

Seagrass Ghost Pipe Fish that is!
Markko had just finished a confined water dive with Golan and Per as part of his Open Water Course, when he stumbled across 2 little ghost pipe fish.
After having completed their skills, Markko headed off for a swim with his students in front of the house reef hut. On their way back to the steps Markko suddenly spotted two pieces of sea grass, moving in a strange way… (more…)
Maureen and Richard Lomax arrived on Kuredu last week with their new underwater camera all prepared.

Greg Carter earnt his PADI Divemaster rating this week as Nico put his student thoroughly through his paces. Having completed his Rescue Diver Course last year with Nico, Greg returned to the island for the fouth time with the goal of finishing his Divemaster course.

Hedda is from Austria, and has previously been to Kuredu to enjoy the snorekling on offer. This year, Hedda came back to Kuredu to fulfill the dream she has had for a long time – to qualify as an Open Water Diver! Hedda is 68 years young, and to take the plunge and complete the Open Water and to learn something new like this deserves a special mention!

The PADI Rescue Course normally runs over 5 days and is very challenging, with the emphasis on equipping yourself with the necessary skills and knowledge to help both yourself and others while underwater, and on the surface.
