PADI Assistant Instructor Maldives

Now it’s time to start getting serious! The IDC jumped into action today with the preparation days behind them.

One of the major parts of the PADI IDC is that the candidates not only demonstrate that they have a solid understanding of the theory associated with diving, but they also learn how to teach using the PADI methods and systems.

It was really back to school (more…)

Tornado Maldives Weather

Unable to handle the baking weather and soaring humidity levels, Mother Nature finally blew her top this week with one of the most incredible weather displays we have witnessed here on Kuredu.

The last 3 months has seen both Kuredu and Komandoo basking in some of the best weather the Maldives has to offer.  With calm skies, flat seas and blazing sunshine, even the most seasoned of our instructors were getting a little bit hot under the collar (more…)

Nemo Adi web

Adi has been visiting and diving with us on Kuredu for several years.

As Adi jumped in the water for the free dives he was about to enjoy as part of his 10th visit with Prodivers, he had no idea that he would take one of the best photos he has to date!  An avid underwater photographer, Adi has been snapping away around the dive sites of the Lhaviyani Atoll on most of his previous visits.

It was only when he returned home that Adi (more…)

Tanja, Wolfgang, web

Yet again this month, we were pleased to welcome back some familiar faces to Kuredu.

Tanja and Wolfgang have returned to Kuredu numerous times over the years, and seeing as though Tanja has now racked up her 10th visit with Prodivers, she was able to take advantage of receiving a full 100% discount on her dives.  Wolfgang is a step ahead of Tanja, and was diving with us for the 12th time.

For both Tanja and Wolfgang, “the Maldives is (more…)

Kuda Rah Thila Maldives

Kudah Rah Thila is one of the Maldives most famous and most visited dive sites.

Well known for the schooling fish that call Kudah Rah Thila home, the dive site is packed full of snappers, fusiliers, jack fish and much much more.

Located just 15 minutes away from Vakarufalhi, Kuda Rah remains close to the top of most people’s wish list when they dive in the South Ari Atoll. (more…)

Nudi detail

The last couple of weeks we have been doing a number of full day trips out to the Noonu Atoll.

One of the full day trips, headed by Marc, went to Christmas Rock, followed by Orimas Thila and, as chilled 3rd dive, Easa Faru.

The divers were amazed at Christmas Rock with its stunning colors. With sleeping stingrays together with a small white tip reef shark, beautiful nudibranchs, colorful soft corals and (more…)

Whaleshark Ari Atoll Maldives

Its incredible to think that something so damn big can be so damn graceful, elegant and mesmerising.

Proud of the incredible Manta action that we have been having the past few weeks here in the Lhaviyani Atoll, our colleagues and guests on Vakarufalhi were feeling a bit left out about all the attention our majestic Mantas were grabbing.  This week, we took the camera down to the South Ari Atoll.  (more…)

We will miss you!

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

It is always sad if someone, you have been working with for a long time, decides to move on and leave.

Hanna was our office and shop supervisor for the past couple of years, helping to deal with the daily paperwork around the dive center.

From time to time she joined our Repeater Guests on the boat to escape the office for a while!

The Prodivers Team wishes you all the best for the future!

We hope that you will visit us for a holiday here on Kuredu one day!
