London Dive Show

As the London Dive Show draws to a close, we would like to thank everyone that popped by to say hi.  It’s always good to meet new faces, and of course, to catch up with friends.

But alas, the time has come for us to pack up the stand for a few more months before we head up to the Birmingham Show on 30 & 31 October later this year.

We would also like to (more…)

Patterned Eagle Ray Komandoo Maldives Scuba Diving

During our usual morning walk around the island, we often see stingrays, baby black tip sharks and some trevallies going after the bait fish.

Herrings and crows also join the morning breakfast action trying to get some of the small stranded victims.

Today we came across to a very unusual visitor. Nothing less than a (more…)

 Snorkeling Maldives

With our guests arriving early and with calm seas and perfect blue skies, we set off for the Noonu Atoll full of excitement and optimistic for a great days’ snorkeling.

Over the course of the day we explored 4 snorkel sites ranging from an outreef (outside of the atoll) to an underwater island – all with great visibility and lots of thermoclines (different temperature layers of water – very refreshing!).

We also enjoyed a well-deserved lunch (more…)

 Komandoo Scuba Diving Maldives

Alex and Judith Kudielka from Germany are enjoying their tenth visit with Prodivers. This time they will stay three weeks and are planning to do around fifteen dives each. Judith and Alex have visited Vakarufalhi seven times; with this is obviously being their third to Komandoo. We are of course grateful for this loyalty and truly hope Alex and Judith continue to enjoy their diving with us in future years to come.

Shark Diving Maldives Orimas Thila

More sharks than you can safely shake a stick at.  Orimas Thila yet again turned up the temperature and put on a dazzling display for one of our full day scuba diving boats this week.

As Mueen and his ‘Tiefenrausch‘ dive group from Berlin packed their kit bags and left Kuredu at the crack of dawn, little did he know of the surprise Orimas had in store for the first dive of the day. (more…)

PADI Instructor Course Maldives Asia

Ever wondered what life as a diving instructor is really like?  Days spent in turquoise lagoons, introducing people for the first time to the wonders of the underwater realm.  Helping people perfect their buoyancy and subsequently being able to get that shot of the turtle resting in an overhang…

Kuredu is home to the Prodivers 5 Star Instructor Development Center, which runs Instructor (more…)

Dolphins Kuda Rah Thila Maldives

It is not unusual to see big schools of fish at Kuda Rah Thila, which is a protected Marine Park, a mere 15 minutes way from Vakarufalhi.

While watching a school of more than 100 jack fish hunting and causing havoc amongst the fusiliers yesterday, we were already blown away by the National Geographic action taking place right in front of us.

100 jacks darting through the water, fusiliers panicking (more…)
