The house reef of Vakarufalhi surrounds the island and is right in front of your door step. It invites you to go snorkeling any time of the day.

Beginners can practice their techniques in the shallow waters of the lagoon were you can already find small coral formations with little damselfish, butterflyfish, pufferfish and many more.

The jetties which are on opposite sides of the island reach the reef and are entry and exit points for the snorklers.

While snorkeling you can encounter anything from turtles, stingrays, moray eels, stonefish, scorpionfish, tunas, barracudas, octopus, squid, clownfish, whitetip reef sharks, nurse sharks, lobster, oriental sweetlips, bannerfish, angelfish, snappers and sometimes when you get very lucky you might even see dolphins and also whaleshark encounters have been reported!!

Every Friday night we take you out for an exciting nightsnorkeling tour on the house reef.
