Vakarufalhi Prodivers

Vakarufalhi Prodivers is a PADI 5-Star Dive Center and is well equipped with modern diving gear and support equipment.

Four experienced dive instructors, 1 Maldivian divemaster and 1 Maldivian compressor tender will look after you and make your stay special. We speak German, English, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish and Dhivehi.

The dive center is surrounded by tropical plants. A shady seating corner invites to sit together after the diving to write logbooks and go through the fish ID books.

You can use the PC in the dive shop to view your pictures or download them to free your memory stick. In our shop you will find a variety of diving accessories like fins, masks, snorkels, logbooks and a lot of other items. You will also find our popular and modern ProDivers collection - the perfect fashion not only for the island but also for the city.

We have a spacious storage room in the dive center for your private equipment with 3 fresh water rinse tanks and shower facility.
Prodivers hosts 'Divers Night' in the bar every other week. You will be treated to a magnificent slideshow of photographs taken by the Base Leader - Marc Zaalberg. All of the pictures were taken on our reefs and give you a taste of just some of the things you will see whilst diving or snorkeling with us. After the show you will be introduced to the staff team who will then be available for a chat or to answer your questions.

The house reef is right in front of the doorstep. Look out for schools of snappers, soldier fish and parrotfish. The house reef is frequented by stingrays, sharks and turtles and it is very likely that you come across them while Snorkeling or diving. Independent diving and night diving on the house reef is available every day.


Diving Experience

The South Ari Atoll is a famous diving area within the Maldives with well-known divesites as Kuda Rah Thila, Broken Rock, Manta Point and Maamigili Beru within easy reach of Vakarufalhi. As many of the dive sites are within a channel you will find prestine coral with interesting reef formations and of course abundant fish life.

From Vakarufalhi we can access more than 35 dive sites within 10 to 60 minutes by boat. From January till end of March visits to Manta points are made several times a week and in the months of April, May as well as September, October and November there is a good chance of seeing whalesharks in the area. Boat trips are available everyday of the week. Fullday, early morning, 2 tank ½ day dive trips and night dive excursions are organized regularly.



Vakarufalhi ProDivers Diving Courses

All our diving education is conducted within the PADI standards and courses are available in German, English, French and Italian. PADI Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses start weekly. Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response, Divemaster and specialty courses such as Shark Specialty, Drift Diver, Equipment Specialist, Digital Underwater Photography are available on request.

The theory lessons of our courses will be held in the comfortable air-conditioned classroom. It offers space for several students and is equipped with modern technical teaching equipment like beamer and laptop instead of TV and DVD player.
