Kuredu was the first island in Lhaviyani Atoll to be developed for tourism in 1988. Lhaviyani Atoll is an atoll in the northern part of Maldives, famous for its abundant marine life and superb diving conditions. The island is a paradise dream in real life with more than 3 km of white sandy beaches and turquoise lagoons.

During summer 2002 Kuredu underwent extensive renovations, 3 new types of villas were built and all public areas were refreshed. Since 2007, extensive renovations are underway again, which give you an even wider choice of room categories than before.

Along the northwest side of Kuredu stands the Sangu Water Villas, all built individually from wood. The villas are furnished with cast iron furniture and they all have a private terrace and sundeck with sun beds and chairs. The Sangu Water Villa guests have their own exclusive reception, bar and restaurant.

Along the northeastern side of Kuredu is the new ‘O’ Resort, that opened its doors in December 2007. The ‘O’ Beach Villas entice you with the stunning view of Kuredu Express, the Lhaviyani Atoll’s famed channel that sports dolphins occasionally as they cross in and out of the atoll.
The "O" Beach Villas have a spacious bedroom with a sitting area and are exquisitely furnished with double beds, dressing table and sofa with table in teak, The terrace have a daybed with fan on top, and a sitting group, romantic open air bathrooms with walk in shower. The allocated main restaurant for the guests in the ‘O”’ Beach Villas is the ‘O’ Restaurant and have the option of dining in any other main restaurants with a same day table reservation. The allocated restaurant will be Koamas for families with children below 12 years of age.

On the southern beaches of Kuredu stand the new Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Beach Villas, also built individually from wood. The villas are furnished with cast iron furniture and all have a private sundeck with sun bed and chairs. The Jacuzzi Beach Villas have their own private garden with a Jacuzzi.

On the northern side are Beach Bungalows and Garden Bungalows. All of these bungalows have rustic rattan furniture, an open-air bathroom and a sundeck with sun chairs.
