Kuredu Prodivers is one of the largest dive centers in the Maldives and as a result, we are able to offer an unsurpassed number of dive related activities:
Orientation Session
Divers arriving on Kuredu are required to join one of our Orientation Sessions at the start of their diving activity. This allows us to explain in more detail what we have on offer, and also includes a guided dive on our reef.
This Orientation Dive allows you to sort out how many weights you need for your dive, lets you get accustomed to the Maldivian waters and provides an orientation for any subsequent dives you do on the House Reef.
Following this Orientation Dive, you are free to dive to on the House Reef together with your buddy anytime during the day. If you are looking for a buddy to go on the House Reef, we have a 'Buddy Finder' located at the dive center.
House Reef Diving
The Kuredu House Reef can be dived between 9am and 9pm, and offers you the chance to simply come and dive whenever you and your buddy want to.
The Kuredu House Reef has a huge range of fish on display, and is also home to a shipwreck running from 3m down to the channel floor at 22m. Swarming with lion fish, and a haven for schools of jacks and bat fish, the wreck also provides sanctuary for Napoleans at night as they seek shelter inside the ship. The reef itself is home to scorpion fish, turtles and puffers as well as the rare leaf fish.
Night Diving
If you have never done a Night Dive before, feel free to join one of our instructors for a guided House Reef Night Dive. Get to see first hand the changes which take place underwater once the sun goes down.
We also run scheduled Boat Night Dives to one of the spectacular reefs around Kuredu for those who have already done a night dive before.
Scheduled Boat Dives
We run a full daily program of boat dive trips departing throughout the day to one of our numerous dive sites.
Whether you are looking for the adrenalin charged channel crossings and the chance to see sharks and rays, or a more relaxed dive to perfect your photography, our daily program of BOAT DIVES will be able to provide you with the kick you're looking for.
It's time to try something new! Scooters and Rebreathers are a way to get closer to those manta rays and sharks:
Scooter Diving
It's a whole lot of fun and adds a whole new dimension to your dives! There is something about Scooters that attracts the big fish! Curiosity levels amongst eagle rays, sharks and turtles definitely rise when Scooters are in the water!
It's now possible to undertake a 'Scooter Intro' to get accustomed to the machine before you are free to join the dive boats or take it onto the House Reef.
SCOOTER SPECIALTY COURSES are also available to give you that extra edge and speed over your buddy!
Rebreather Diving
'Bubble free' and silent diving diving can now be tried out with a Rebreather Introduction Dive on Kuredu. The experience of 'bubble free' diving is something you don't forget, especially as the fish life comes that much closer to you. It's not even that complicated!
If the idea of getting closer to the marine life, improving your photography or video skills, having a longer bottom time or just simply being able to dive for 60 minutes appeals to you, there are REBREATHER SPECIALTY COURSES available.
Kuredu is a 'Rebreather Friendly' Resort and welcomes existing rebreather divers. We have a readily available supply of sorb, along with the ability to refill air diluent and oxygen bottles all on site. We also have a number of Draeger Semi Closed, and Evolution Closed Circuit Rebreather units available for rent.
